The Charlottesville Babe Ruth League is a 100% Volunteer-Run youth sports organization.  The fees we collect for registration cover about 1/3 of the total costs to run the season, so to keep fees as low as possible for everyone, we require that all families contribute to the league.

Our Concessions Stand is crucial to the financial health of our league.  We use proceeds from sales to pay our umpires. All registered families will be assigned up to two (2) games of concessions duty, and the League requires two other volunteer tasks during the season.  You may opt out of these supplemental duties for a $50 donation to the League.  You may not opt out of concessions duty.  We offer many options for giving back to the league including helping on Field Improvement Day, operating the scoreboard during games, taking recycling to McIntire, working an extra concessions duty, and bathroom stocking/cleaning.

THE LEAGUE WILL ASSIGN YOUR TIMES.  We understand that not all times will work for all families.  If you are assigned a time that does not work for you, we ask that you work with members of your team to switch assignments so that all slots are covered.  Failure to show up for your assigned time will result in additional fee assessment of $25 per game as concessions are vital to the league's financial bottom line.   

We will use SignUp Genius to assign concessions duty and allow families to sign up for running the scoreboard.   The various links for sign ups will be posted here when finalized.  If you complete any other task (i.e., recycling, bathrooms), please be sure to document it on the Volunteer Signup sheet kept in the concessions stand.
