2021 Fall Registration is OPEN!

The Charlottesville Babe Ruth League offers boys and girls the opportunity to have fun learning the game of baseball from dedicated coaches and volunteers.The League accepts registrations from boys and girls who will be thirteen (13) years old before May 1, 2021, and who will not be seventeen (17) years old before May 1, 2022, for the 13-16-Year-Old Division and boys and girls who will be sixteen (16) years old before May 1, 2022, and who will not be nineteen (19) years old before May 1, 2022, for the 16-18-Year-Old Division.

Babe Ruth League, Inc. allows for players who are 12 years old to participate in Babe Ruth League play as a "swing" player.Please contact the league with any questions.

ALL LEAGUE EVENTS, PRACTICES, AND GAMES are at Gardner Field at Lane Park unless otherwise specified.

There is limited space available in our 13-16-Year-Old and 16-18-Year-Old Divisions, so register early! If you choose a payment method other than credit card, payment may be made by mail or by special arrangement if necessary; however, registration is not complete until we receive your payment (*see other payment options below.). If the division does not fill up earlier, the Registration deadline is August 27th for both Divisions. (If paying by mail, then payment must be postmarked by August 27th.)

Season Highlights

• Player evaluations are August 28th
• Practices Start August 30th (at Gardner Field & other Albemarle Fields)
• Teams will practice once per week
• 8 Games starting in early September (at Gardner Field)
• Season ends by November 7th with League Playoffs

2021 Spring Champions

Congratulations to SL Williamson for winning the 2021 Spring tournament! They defeated State Farm in the semi-finals and bested Dogtopia in the final game of the season. Hats off to all the coaches and players!

Sandlots are a fun, relaxed way for players to ease back into playing baseball.Coaches help organize teams and keep the flow of batting and fielding.For rising 13-year-olds new to the big field, sandlots are a great way to get a feel for the bigger field, and to get to know players from all the local Cal Ripken and Little Leagues who will be joining them in our fall league.

• Sandlots typically run for about two hours from 6pm to 8pm
• Sandlot dates are still being finalized but will be held in late August.
• The League will send out emails and update our website and Facebook pages when details, dates, and times are finalized.
