CBRL is partnering with ADAPT trainers to offer pre-season conditioning for players ahead of the Spring 2021 baseball season. The limited spots will be filled on a first-come basis. Complete the online sign-up form to reserve a spot for your player.

Focus of training: agility, speed, power, core strength, and injury reduction

Session information: Training will take place twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from February 9 - March 4. Each session will last one hour and they will run from 5 - 6 PM or 6:15 - 715 PM. Sessions take place rain or shine.

Location: All sessions will take place outdoors at Gardner Field at Lane Park.

Cost: $75 per player. Paid during check-in at the first session. Some partial scholarships will be available.

COVID Safety Protocols: Safety protocols that were in place last year will continue for these sessions. Parents/spectators must remain outside the main gate, masks are required to enter/exit the field, and temperature and symptom checks are required before each session.

Board Meeting, February 1st @ 7pm

The monthly CBRL Board of Directors Meeting will take place on Monday, February 1st at 7:00 PM via Zoom. If you wish to join us, please contact Alice Riccabona for meeting credentials. Some meeting agenda items include:

Reminder: 15u Developmental Team Opportunity

Eric Lane will be leading a league-age 15-year-old developmental team in 2021. Eric has over 20 years of baseball coaching experience at various levels. The first experience will be on February 7th from 2-4PM at Gardner Field. For players to be eligible to participate, they must also register for the 2021 CBRL spring rec season. There will be the same safety gatekeeping checks that occurred last season. If we have to cancel the February 7th session due to weather, an email will be sent out by the league.

Based on player turnout, the experience will adjust from there. If player interest is there, then there will be a selection process where some players qualify to participate in games. If that occurs, there will be costs to cover game costs and/or uniforms if uniforms are needed. There will not be any money going to any of the coaches who coach the team.

The experience will not interfere with CBRL league play or high school baseball. It is also fine if a player is playing on another baseball travel team.

There is limited space available in our 13-16-Year-Old and 16-18-Year-Old Divisions, so register early! Registration deadline is February 26^th for the 13-16-Year-Old Division and April 16^th for the 16-18-Year-Old Division.

Season Highlights

Games begin in mid-March for 13-16 division and late April for the 16-18 division
End of Season Tournaments will be held in June.

Spring Evaluations

* All players will be evaluated on February 27^th and 28^thfor the 13-16-Year-Old Division and April 17^th for the 16-18-Year-Old Division from 2PM to 4PM at Gardner Field. Evaluations are mandatory, and players must attend at least one session. The purpose of evaluations is to help build balanced teams across each division.
