Returning to the Field - This Weekend!

The CBRL Board of Directors is very excited to announce that we've built a program to return to the field this upcoming weekend. The Board has been meeting regularly, seeking out advice from professionals, and collaborating to develop a program that will provide baseball skills and fun for our kids while doing so in a safe way.

To limit potential exposure to the Covid-19 virus, registered players will be divided into cohorts and will participate as a limited and fixed-personnel group during all clinics in which they participate. Clinics will run from June through July. Once we reach Phase III reopening, and when we have guidance and approval to do so, we will graduate to gameplay. We are hoping for a 20-game season for all our players.

Prior to joining a clinic, players and their parents/guardians must sign a waiver. Additionally, prior to entry to the field, players, coaches, and families must acknowledge receipt, read thoroughly, and agree to adhere to all policies and procedures contained in our Return to Play document and any additional safety protocols the League deems necessary.

Copies of the Return to Play document and Waiver will be available at the field; however, you can save yourself and the League time by downloading and printing these documents, reading and signing them, and scanning them/taking a picture of them and sending them to [email protected]prior to Saturday morning. You may also bring signed copies with you when you attend your first practice.

Please do not arrive at the field more than 15 minutes early for any of your scheduled clinics. League volunteers will be there to conduct screening and verify the necessary waivers and documents. No one will be permitted to enter the ballpark until they have been screened and have the necessary paperwork in order.

We can't wait to see you at the Field!

We Need Your Help!

Our Board of Directors is comprised of dedicated, professional, and caring people who are committed to safely delivering a baseball program to our community. We are a 100% volunteer organization and we rely on everyone to make this dream a reality.

Running a program during a global pandemic is especially challenging. Not only have we had to invest in more equipment, sanitizing materials, and screening tools, we are required to manage the flow of people into our field and make sure we don't admit people who may be sick. These tasks take time and commitment and we are asking for your help. If you are willing to be a "Gate Keeper", please send us an email.

It is going to take the work of many to make sure we comply with regulations that are designed to keep you and your child safe.

Limited Spaces Available

We have had a few players drop out of the league and have a very limited number of spaces available for new players to join. If you know someone who wants to play in our league, encourage them to sign up today. Spots are limited and will go quickly.

To Register, please visit our website.

Reminder -- Decommissioned Bats

From: Rob Connor, VP & National Commissioner, Babe Ruth League

The NCAA recently conducted additional testing of the previously-certified 33 in./30 oz. Louisville Slugger 2020 Meta (-3) BBCOR baseball bat. The conclusion of this additional testing resulted in the NCAA and the
National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) removing this specific model from their approved-for-play bat list. At this time, no other sizes of this bat model, or any previous model years of the bat model, have been decertified.
