Don't let the weather fool you. Although it's wet right now, we are confident that our dedicated Coaches and Board Members will have the field in ship-shape for tomorrow's games. All games are expected to start on time! If you are looking for the game schedule, you can find it in two places on our website. Visit our events calendar or posted schedules pages for different displays. Uniforms will be distributed prior to the game and we hope to get some team photos done, time permitting. Each player will be announced prior to the playing of our National Anthem, and we'll take a few moments to recognize our Sponsors and Board Members. The Concessions Stand will be open for business and we're looking forward to a great day and season of baseball. Thank you for being an important part of our league and community.
In November 2018 Albemarle County Division of Public Works began work on an improvement project to pave all the parking lots and drive lanes at the Albemarle County Office Building McIntire Rd. This project will enhance the condition,drive-ability, clearness and ease of use by multiple modes of transportation to and from our office building. The total project will be broken up into two work phases with a planned completion date of April 28, 2019.All work will be executed on the weekends for this project’s schedule duration and operations will starteach Saturday and Sunday morning at approximately 8am and run util 5pm. During paving, families will need to use the entrance closer to the County Office Building during part of the project, and follow signage to appropriate parking spots.

The Charlottesville Babe Ruth League is a 100% Volunteer-Run youth sports organization. The fees we collect for registration cover about 1/3 of the total costs to run the season, so to keep fees as low as possible for everyone, we require that all families contribute to the league. All registered families have been assigned two (2) games of concessions duty (see below for full season schedule), and the League requires two other volunteer tasks during the season. You may opt out of these supplemental duties for a $50 donation to the League. You may not opt out of concessions duty. We offer many options for giving back to the league including helping on Field Improvement Day, lining the field prior to games, operating the scoreboard during games, and bathroom cleaning. You may also opt in to extra concessions duties if you wish. Thank you to those who have already given time to the league. We will manage all of our game-related volunteer duties as well as our concessions schedule using SignUp Genius.The various links for sign ups are listed below, and can be found on our Volunteer Opportunities web page. When you report for your volunteer duties, be sure to sign in so that we can credit you for your work completed. There will be a sign in notebook in the Concessions Stand, one in the women's bathroom, and one in the press box. We appreciate everyone's time and efforts. These value-added tasks help make the on-field experience for all our kids that much more special.
